JULY 21: On Monday, security forces continued with the search operation to hunt down the terrorists hiding in the dense forest belt in Kishtwar.
It is learnt that the joint operation by contingents of Police and Army was launched on Sunday afternoon in Khankoo forest in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir.
This resulted in brief gunfight and it was believed that terror outfit was affiliated with the proscribed Hizbul Mujahideen.
On the heels of encounter, heavy deployment of the forces was inducted to the spot and a massive search operation was started to gun down the hiding terrorists.
Besides, the operation was called off late Sunday.
It resumed on Monday morning with security forces relying on cutting-edge technology to counter the hiding terrorists and meticulously searching the forest area to hunt them down.
Reports suggest, the security forces have deployed forces at the escape routes and nearby areas, however, topography acts as a challenge to them in the current times.
