OCT 11: On the heels of catching sight of two Pakistani drones hovering over the forward villages along the International Border in Samba district of Jammu And Kashmir, security forces on Saturday launched the search operation.
It is learnt that the drones were sighted over Challiyari village in the Ghagwal area, and Chamliyal village in Ramgarh of Samba.
The Border Security Force (BSF) in conjunction with the local Police has cordoned off both the areas and launched a search operation early Saturday in a bid to ensure that there is no airdropping of weapons or narcotics on this side of the border.
Besides, the security forces have cautioned the local public to provide any information pertaining to suspicious object.
The team of BSF along with Police were witnessed meticulously scanning the adjoining habitation to foil any untoward incident.
On October 4, drone-like object was witnessed approaching towards Indian territory from Pakistani side and hovered over Nanga village in Ramgarh sector in Samba. Following the searches in the area, there was nothing like harmful.
Earlier also, the balloons with Pakistan engraved on it has entered Indian territory in Samba from across the International Border. Security forces have been vigilant and thwarted all those attempts to ensure tranqulity in the region.
