Reshuffle in Law Deptt

Srinagar: In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Jammu and Kashmir government has issued a transfer and posting order for multiple law officers across various departments to streamline litigation handling and ensure efficient legal representation.

Waseem Showkat Bhat, Senior Law Officer, has been transferred from the Directorate of Urban Local Bodies, Jammu, to the Directorate of School Education, Jammu. Musbat Ismail, Deputy Legal Remembrancer, has been moved from the office of Secretary, Sports Council, Srinagar to Srinagar Municipal Corporation and will continue to oversee litigation in her previous office until further orders.

Waseem Ahmad Lone has been posted in the Finance Department, while Shabana Durani has been shifted to the Directorate of Urban Local Bodies, Jammu. Dharam Pal Chibber now moves to the office of Chief Engineer, Jal Shakti (PHE), Jammu.

Nahida Bashir, currently in the Chief Engineer, PMGSY office in Kashmir, will additionally handle litigation work for the Engineer-in-Chief/Secretary Technical. Tawheeda is posted to the Transport Department, and Aamir Majid Shah will now serve in the Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Srinagar.

Deeba Khan, while continuing as District Litigation Officer, Srinagar, will also manage litigation for the Deputy Commissioner’s office. Ishwin Kour has been posted to the Revenue Department in Jammu, and Ishfaq Ahmad Khan will additionally handle litigation for Chief Engineer, North and South Kashmir.

Javeed Nazir will take on additional charge at the Directorate General of Accounts and Treasuries. Vishu Kumar, currently with the Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, Katra, will also handle litigation in Reasi, relieving Rempi Sharma of that responsibility.

Sohil Mir moves to the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Jammu. Hilal Ahmad Bhat shifts to the Directorate of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Kashmir, but will retain charge of litigation for Samagara Shiksha.

Nisar Ahmad Bhat, while continuing in Shopian and Pulwama, will also manage litigation for the Deputy Commissioner, Shopian. Rajni Bala has been posted to the office of Conservator of Forests, Jammu.

Mehmood Ahmad Malik will handle arbitration matters in the office of Financial Commissioner, Revenue. Nadir Ali is transferred to the General Administration Department, and Nadiya Gul to the Cooperative Department in Srinagar.

Mudasir Mushtaq Khan Pathan, already posted in Bijbehara, will also take charge of District Litigation Office, Kulgam, relieving Rubi Jan. Kasturee Mishra moves to the Directorate of School Education, Jammu, and Shahnawaz Ahmad Malik has been posted in Poonch as District Litigation Officer.

Bilal Ahmad Bhat has been transferred to the State Motor Garages, J&K, from the office of Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar.
