JAMMU: The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha today emphasized the crucial role of public-private partnerships in driving socio-economic growth, stating that such collaborations are essential for ensuring sustainable and equitable development.
Speaking at the ‘Bihar Kesari Samman’ Samaroh in Patna, the LG highlighted the need to accelerate progress by uniting efforts across public and private sectors.
“To achieve socio-economic growth, we should focus on forging public-private partnerships. Our rich inheritance of values of harmony is a solid foundation of inclusive development,” he said.
During the event, Manoj Sinha felicitated eminent personalities with the prestigious ‘Bihar Kesari Samman’ award for their distinguished services.
The award is presented in honor of Dr. Shri Krishna Singh, the great freedom fighter and first Chief Minister of Bihar.
Paying tributes to Dr. Singh, the Lieutenant Governor acknowledged his immense contribution to Bihar’s development and nation-building. “Shri Krishna Singh was the creator of modern Bihar. Through agricultural reforms, river development projects, and industrial advancements, he transformed Bihar into a powerhouse of progress,” he noted.
The Lieutenant Governor praised Shri Babu’s dedication to public welfare, social equality, and empowerment of marginalized communities. “He was a true statesman who eliminated discrimination and worked to make Bihar one of the fastest developing states,” he added.
Highlighting the need for collective responsibility, Shri Manoj Sinha urged citizens, particularly the youth, to unite for the cause of public good and contribute to India’s development journey.
“We must stand up as one and dedicate ourselves to the growth and prosperity of the nation. Unity has always ensured progress, and by embracing this principle, we can realize the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’,” the Lieutenant Governor said.
Meanwhile, LG also attended the ‘Holi Milan Samaroh’ at Sendhwa, Jehanabad in Bihar today.
Holi in Jehanabad is celebrated with gaiety and enthusiasm. The Lieutenant Governor extended his greetings and best wishes for a brighter future of all.
In his address, the Lieutenant Governor spoke on the rich spiritual, educational and cultural heritage of Magadha.
“Magadha region is the life element of our ancient culture. It has a prominent place in the history of modern India due to its ancient tradition and cultural values and the invincible strength of this land adorned with the richness of philosophy, language and literature is guiding us.
From this holy land, the principles of industry, trade, commerce and urban development emerged and reached beyond the shores of India through scholars who came to Bodh Gaya from all over Asia,” the Lieutenant Governor said.
The Lieutenant Governor called upon the people from all sections of the society to work together to revive the glory of ancient Magadha region.
“According to Vedic literature, there was ‘Magadha’ in the south-west, ‘Anga’ in the east and ‘Videha’ in the north. The first description is found in the 14th verse, 53rd Sutra of the third Ashtak of the Rigveda and it has been called by the name Keekat.
Many historians have also tried to highlight the fact that the integration of Vedic culture and Vratya culture first took place in Magadha. Along with this, the tradition of Rajrishis started from Magadha and the first was Rajrishi Vishwamitra,” the Lieutenant Governor said.
The Lieutenant Governor also highlighted the dedicated efforts made under the guidance of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, for the inclusive development of Magadha region and the state of Bihar.
