NOV 27: With Jammu and Kashmir Police tightening noose over the anti-national activities and strengthening the security grid, multiple raids and searches are underway by Police across the Kashmir valley.
In the early morning, on Thursday, Budgam Police launched various searches at the residences suspected of associates of proscribed outfit to Jamaat-E-Islami (JeI). It is learnt that the searches were conducted at the residences of various JeI members.
In Budgam, the focus was on locations like Chadoora, Soibugh and Beerwah and following the searches, electronic devices along with documents were seized from the houses associated with JeI.
Besides, acting on intelligence inputs, pertaining to suspected unlawful activities and possible links with proscribed organisation, Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI), Handwara Police carried out searches at Jamia Islamia Institute, Waripora, Handwara.
Additionally, Pulwama Police carried out raids at the residence of advocate Zahid Ali, former spokesperson of the banned outfit Jamaat-e-Islami.
With aim to dismantle the terror network, raids by Police are in full swing at multiple locations in Kashmir Valley.
Notably, the searches will play crucial part in reinforcing the faith of civilians in Police amid the panic that swept people following Delhi blast.
