Ladakh: The Administration of the Union Territory (UT) of Ladakh has formally constituted the State/UT Level Sanctioning Committee (SLSC) and the State Level Executive Committee (SLEC) to oversee the implementation of key agricultural and horticultural schemes, including Krishonnati Yojana, Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY), and the Centrally Sponsored Scheme (CSS) – Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH).
As per Order No. 104-LA(GAD) 2025, issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), the Chief Secretary of Ladakh will head the SLSC, with key officials from the Finance, Agriculture, Horticulture, Rural Development, Animal Husbandry, and Industries & Commerce departments serving as members. The committee will be responsible for approving the Annual Action Plan (AAP) for the financial year 2025-26 and monitoring the implementation of these schemes across Ladakh.
The State-Level Executive Committee (SLEC), chaired by the Administrative Secretary of Agriculture and Horticulture, Ladakh, will include representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Finance Department, Horticulture and Agriculture Departments, NABARD, and other key stakeholders. This committee will prepare a strategic and annual action plan, ensure fund management, and oversee the execution of the schemes.
According to the order issued by Michael M. D’Souza, IAS, Administrative Secretary, GAD, the committees will focus on cluster-based horticulture promotion, transparent beneficiary selection, feasibility studies, fund allocation, and ICT-enabled monitoring through the MIDH Suraksha Portal. The committees will also be responsible for organizing workshops, training programs, and ensuring real-time progress updates on the schemes.
