MAY 9: On India-Pakistan conflict, J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said that Pakistan’s action of targeting civilians was shocking and vicious.
CM Omar said, “Indian Defence forces effectively retaliated and countered the missiles that were aimed at civilians, adding, that several areas in J&K UT were targeted, but the efforts of Pakistan were foiled by our forces.”
“It is upto Pakistan to choose peace and make certain the safety of civilians on both sides,” CM Omar said.
On the camps arranged for citizens of border areas, J&K Chief Minister said, “We are trying our best. Food is given three times a day, sanitation facilities are available, medical facilities are made certain and the Government is ensuring they face less problems.”
CM Omar Abdullah visited GMC Jammu and areas in Samba today.
On Pakistan shelling in Poonch, J&K CM Omar Abdullah says, “Poonch has suffered a huge loss. Poonch has the highest number of casualties and the most injured.”
