NOV 22: A Pakistani drone was spotted hovering over forward village along the International Border in Samba district on Saturday.
It is learnt that the drone was witnessed approaching from the Chak Bhura post in Pakistan and hovered over Regal village in the Ghagwal area for a moment before returning to other side the border.
On the heels of this, the security forces have launched massive search operation to ensure that there was no airdropping of narcotics or weapons.
Besides, heavy deployment of the security forces which consist of teams of BSF, Samba Police, BSF 52 Battalion, BSF 125 Battalion are on the ground meticulously scanning the nearby habitation and adjoining areas.
The reinforcements have been pressed into action to monitor the situation and search any airdropping.
Also, the area has been cordoned off to carry out the search operation and inputs from the locals have also been gathered for ideal findings.
In past, the aircraft balloons from Pakistan have landed in Samba district and security forces have acted vigilant in this regard.
Notably, the prompt action by security forces in such incidents in Samba have added feather to their cap.
