Splitsvilla 10 fame Anmol Chaudhary on being single mother in India, crowdsourcing money for delivery: ‘I raised Rs 5 lakh’

Former Splitsvilla contestant Anmol Chaudhary has opened up about her pregnancy journey. Anmol shared that her ex-boyfriend, who is now married, made it clear that he did not want any responsibility in the matter. Despite this, she chose to keep the baby and revealed about the difficult times when she had no money for the delivery.

When she made the decision to keep the baby, she realized that she only had Rs 29,000 in her bank account. It was a critical moment for her as she wanted to ensure the best possible hospital for her delivery, especially during the challenging times of Covid. With this in mind, she chose to launch a crowdfunding campaign to raise funds for her medical expenses.

In an interview with Humans of Bombay, Anmol said, “When I started that crowdfunding campaign, at the same time I was also working on a vlog. I had written my blogs and all, so that people can come and read my story and understand. So, on the first day of the crowdfund campaign, I just prayed that at least delivery should be taken care of, rest I’ll figure it out. You’re not gonna believe, within four days, I raised Rs 5 lakh on that campaign. Apart from that, the friends who have sent me money, that was Rs 2 lakh and I think from that moment I realized that I must be doing something right.”

Talking about the being a single mother, Anmol said, “I do cry, I mean, I cry alone, and I wipe it off. But what I’ve realized is maybe you learn to live with it. You know, as now my son Jace is growing, I’ve realized that with time, he’s becoming enough, and I’m becoming enough for him.”
