Jammu: A 22-year-old medical student of GMCH Jammu today killed in a road mishap that took place on National Highway at Nagrota.
The deceased has been identified as Maneshwar Singh son of Harvinder Singh of Doda. Police said that he was living in the PG hostel of GMC Hospital, Bakshi Nagar. He was on way to Udhampur from Jammu when his motorcycle bearing registration number JK06A8259 was hit by a speedy truck on National Highway.
“When reached at Tanda Chowk NH 44 near IIM Jammu, his motorcycle got hit by an unknown vehicle driven by an unknown person in rash and negligent manner. Due to which Maneshwar died and his brother , pillion rider, Rameshwar Singh got injured .Accordingly a case FIR No. 32/2025 U/S 281/125 (a) BNS has been registered”, said a police officer.
