Srinagar, July 8: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday reviewed the situation in the Thathri area of Doda district following the recent cloudburst and directed the district administration to provide immediate assistance to the affected families while speeding up restoration work.

In a post on X, the Lieutenant Governor said he spoke with the Deputy Commissioner of Doda to assess the ground situation and receive an update on the damage caused by the cloudburst.

According to the LG, several houses and shops have been damaged in the incident. However, no loss of life or injuries has been reported.

He instructed the district administration to ensure that relief reaches the affected families without delay and that normal life is restored as quickly as possible.

The Lieutenant Governor also directed officials to accelerate restoration efforts, including the clearance of National Highway NH-244, to restore connectivity in the affected area at the earliest.
