Jammu: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah have strongly condemned the terrorist attack on an ex-serviceman and his family in Kulgam, which led to the tragic killing of Manzoor Ahmad Wagay.
Expressing his grief, LG Sinha paid tribute to Wagay and assured that those responsible for this cowardly act would be brought to justice.
“The entire nation stands in solidarity with the grieving family during this difficult time. I have directed officials to ensure the best possible medical treatment for the injured and am praying for their swift recovery,” he stated.
CM Omar Abdullah also expressed deep sorrow over the incident, calling it a “heinous act” that has no place in society.

“My heartfelt condolences to the family of Manzoor Ahmad Wagay Sahab. Prayers for the swift recovery of his injured wife and daughter. May peace and justice prevail,” he wrote on social media.
Wagay, an ex-Army man, along with his wife and daughter, was attacked by terrorists in the Behibagh area of Kulgam this afternoon. While all three were rushed to the hospital, Wagay succumbed to his injuries, whereas his wife and daughter are reported to be in stable condition.
Both the LG and CM reiterated their commitment to ensuring justice and strengthening security measures to prevent such acts of violence in the region
