APRIL 18: LG Manoj Sinha extended greetings on Parkash Purab of ‘Hind Ki Chadar’ Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji on Friday.
Taking to social networking site X, LG Manoj Sinha, “Greetings on the auspicious occasion of Parkash Purab of ‘Hind Ki Chadar’ Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.”
He added, “Let us rededicate ourselves to his teachings and the ideals of compassion, brotherhood, selfless service, equality and justice, as epitomized by Guru Ji.”
It is learnt that Guru Tegh Bahadur who is popularly known as “Hind ki Chadar” that means defender of Hindus.
He made the supreme sacrifice in 1675 to protect Hindu community facing forced conversion under Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb’s rule.
