KULGAM, 5 Feb: PDP leader Iltija Mufti questioned the mass detention in the wake of Kulgam militant attack which claimed the life of ex-serviceman Manzoor Ahmed Waghey.
PDP stalwart lambasted the NC-led Government and questioned them for mass detention. Iltija Mufti said that J&K is being converted into ‘Air Prison’ adding that the arbitrary arrest of the young people is beyond tolerance.
The oppression orchestrated by the Government wherein youth are apprehended, properties are being attached must have zero-tolerance policy said Iltija Mufti.
Iltija categorically said that investigation does not mean that your pain everyone with same brush. Suspecting everyone and putting them behind bars in 24 hours is wrong in terms of humanity said I

PDP leader Iltija Mufti says, “Not only in Kulgam but in Budgam and Ganderbal, youths are being picked up and I want to ask the government are all of them militants? Why are you suspecting everyone? This is wrong and why is the NC Government silent on the issue? Why the whole atmosphere is being vitiated? Not even a single state minister has given any statement regarding it.”
PDP leader Iltija Mufti also appeal to the government to give compensation to the grieving family as he (ex-serviceman) was the sole breadwinner for his family.
