MARCH 29: On Saturday, security forces extended the ongoing search operation to new areas after recovering the body of the fourth policeman and two slain terrorists from the dense forest in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Pertinent to mention, the encounter in the area raged on Thursday and at least four policemen have attained martyrdom and two recently infiltrated terrorists have been gunned down as of now.
Exchange of fire has been witnessed since morning, and drones are in use to thwart the nefarious desires of anti-national focres. It is learnt that Kathua encounter is the biggest encounter of 2025. With the suspicious movement observed in Kathera area of Kathua, the security forces are vigilant to counter the infiltrating terrorists.
The bodies of three martyrs, Tariq Ahmed (Reasi), Jaswant Singh (Hiranagar), and Balwinder Singh Chib of (Kana Chak) were recovered on Friday afternoon, while the body of head constable Jagbir Singh, a resident of (Khour) was retrieved on Friday evening.
