Jammu: The High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh has announced key promotions, including the elevation of Aftab Ahmad, the Additional Registrar (Administration), to the position of Registrar (Management) in Pay Level-13A (₹1,31,100-₹2,16,600). This promotion, approved by the Chief Justice, fills the vacancy left by Haroon Rashid Bhat, who previously held the position.
The court also recognized the efforts of three Incharge Bench Secretaries—Tanzila Sharief, Ishfaq Ahmad, and Avnish Shardhalia Sharma—by promoting them to the role of Bench Secretaries on a regular basis, with effect from August 14, 2024. The promotions, also approved by the Chief Justice, reflect the recognition of the employees’ consistent performance and contribution to the functioning of the High Court.
These promotions are part of the court’s efforts to ensure efficiency in its administration and operations, recognizing the contributions of dedicated staff members who have served in their respective roles.
