Jammu: In a significant development, the Government of Jammu and Kashmir has declared the services of two members of the J&K Secretariat (Gazetted) Service-II as Quasi Permanent. This decision, formalized under Government Order No.172-JK(GAD) of 2025, dated January 31, 2025, marks an important step in recognizing the dedication and commitment of these officials.

As per the order issued by M. Raju, IAS, Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, the following officials have been granted Quasi Permanent status:  Ghulam Mohammad Khan, currently serving as Private Secretary with the Administrative Secretary, Skill Development Department and Rachpal Singh, serving as Private Secretary with the Chairman, Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission for J&K and Ladakh.

The declaration comes in terms of Rule (3) of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Temporary Service) Rules, 1961, emphasizing the government’s commitment to regularizing the services of dedicated staff members.

The move is seen as a recognition of the valuable contributions made by these officials in their respective roles, further boosting morale and encouraging sustained dedication across the Secretariat.

The order has been circulated to relevant departments and officers, including the Principal Accountant General, J&K, and the Administrative Secretaries of the concerned departments, ensuring effective communication and implementation.
