Vehicular movements choked on NH as truck driver thrashes traffic cops, Police intervene

Jammu: A popular social media influencer and stunt biker named Arman Choudhary, also known as ‘Arman Rider’ was today booked by Jammu Police for performing dangerous stunts on public roads. Choudhary, who runs his vlog on Instagram ‘HanDit@armanrider2X1’, has been booked in a case vide FIR No. 130/2025 U/S 281/125 BNS 154 MV Act at Police Station Nagrota.
He has been booked for reckless riding, particularly on the Sidhra Flyover stretch on National Highway, where he performed dangerous stunts on his bike. The Jammu Traffic Police stated that Choudhary’s actions posed risks to pedestrians and motorists.
Speaking to The News Now, SSP Traffic Jammu city namely Farooq Qaser, said that whosoever found involved in traffic violations and performing stunts shall face wrath.
The complaint against Choudhary was lodged by SI Rajinder Singh, Incharge DTI Nagrota. The complaint’s copy in possession of The News Now read as, “I want to submit that one Arman Choudhary alias Arman Rider son of Bashir Ahmed of Bermini Morh Bhatindi Top Jammu is involved in dangerous driving stunt thereby risking his own life as well as the lives of others. The videos of such stunts are also uploaded by him on his Instagram HanDit@armanrider2X1 which also encourages his followers into doing such acts. Photographs of such stunts as taken from his Instagram handle are enclosed with the application”.
Based on the traffic police’s complaint, District Police Jammu booked him at Police Station Nagrota.
Meanwhile, Traffic Police today lodged another complaint against a truck driver who misbehaved and even slapped a traffic cop at TCP Nagrota.
The truck bearing registration number RJ19GJ/0302 which was on its way from Jammu towards Udhampur side was stopped by Traffic Police for Challan. The driver of the truck (name unknown) started using abusive language with Traffic police personnel and even slapped the Flying squad driver namely Joginder Singh, SPO.
The verbal brat between truck driver and traffic cops caused traffic jams. Later, a police team from Police Station Nagrota reached the spot and took the driver under custody. The traffic movement was restored after a short while.
