JUNE 12: Jammu and Kashmir is experiencing a scorching heatwave with temperature ascending in both the Divisions. With Jammu registered blistering at 44°C and Srinagar at 33°C, the heat spell has caused nuisance to people in Union Territory (UT).
Speaking particularly of the Jammu Division, Katra continues to boil at 40°C, Batote at 33°C and Banihal at 34°C and Bhaderwah at 34°C all above normal.
Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned about blistering heatwave conditions at the scattered places across Jammu Division.
IMD has cautioned about the heatwave conditions and asked people to adhere to the precautionary measures from the boiling spell.
As per the latest weather forecast issued by IMD, from June 11 to 13 hot and dry conditions will prevail, between June 14 to 17 rain showers and thunderstorm will prevail and subsequent to that hot and humid conditions will return from June 18 to 20.
