Jammu: Ahead of the upcoming budget session in Jammu and Kashmir, BJP National President JP Nadda is set to participate in a training session for the party’s legislators. Nadda will also hold a meeting with the newly appointed district presidents of the party.
Training session will commence on Friday and continue until Saturday afternoon. During this period, all 28 BJP MLAs from Jammu and Kashmir, along with other senior leaders, will stay in Katra.
BJP legislators have been instructed to arrive in Katra by 8 am on Friday to attend the session. Additionally, National General Secretary BL Santosh and several senior leaders will arrive in Jammu on Friday to participate in the session.
At 3 pm on Saturday, a meeting will be held with the district presidents in Katra, led by National President JP Nadda. The focus of the meeting will be to address local issues and expedite preparations for upcoming municipal and panchayat elections.
During the training session, BJP legislators will receive directives from Nadda on how to unite in the assembly and hold the government accountable on key issues. Currently, BJP is focusing on the unfulfilled promises of the National Conference government led by Omar Abdullah, and the upcoming assembly session will be used to press the government on these matters.
The session will include discussions on several critical topics, including the strategies for the upcoming assembly session. Senior BJP leaders like Tarun Chugh (National General Secretary and Jammu and Kashmir In-Charge), Dr. Jitendra Singh (Union Minister), Shiv Prakash (Joint Secretary Organization) will guide the legislators in formulating their approach. The main focus will be on raising issues collectively, targeting policies rather than individuals, and effectively bringing people’s concerns to the forefront.
