Jammu: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has constituted a board for the periodic five-year review of the Draft Master Plan-2032 for Jammu. The appointment has been made in accordance with Rule-9 of the Jammu and Kashmir Development Authority Rules, 1976.
As per Government Order No. 7-HUDD of 2025, issued by Mandeep Kaur, IAS, Commissioner/Secretary to the Housing and Urban Development Department (HUDD), the board will oversee inquiries, hearings, and the consideration of representations, objections, and suggestions for the draft Master Plan.
As per the order, The board comprises the following members, Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, HUDD – Chairperson, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu – Member, Vice-Chairman, Jammu Development Authority – Member Secretary and Chief Town Planner, TPO, Jammu – Member
The review is a significant step toward ensuring that the Master Plan aligns with the dynamic development needs of Jammu and incorporates feedback from various stakeholders.
Copies of the order have been forwarded to the Additional Chief Secretary to the Hon’ble Chief Minister, the Principal Secretary to the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor, and other concerned authorities for necessary action.
The initiative underscores the government’s commitment to fostering sustainable urban development in Jammu under the Draft Master Plan-2032 framework.
