MAY 19: Massive fire tore through the Main Bazar of Sumbal in Bandipora district emanating to 12 shops and four residential buildings.
The devastating fire broke in the intervening night of Sunday and Monday.
Fire and Emergency Service (F&ES) personnel along with Police and people launched the joint rescue operation while battling the blaze.
After some hours of rigorous efforts, the flames were brought under control.
It is learnt that property worth lakhs was damaged in the incident.
