Bijbehara, April 13:Two boys drowned in the Jhelum River in the Padshahibagh area of Bijbehara in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Monday, officials said.
Officials said the incident occurred when the duo accidentally slipped into the river and were swept away by the water. Soon after the incident came to light, rescue teams rushed to the spot and launched a search operation.
Authorities added that efforts to trace the victims were underway, while their identities were being ascertained.
