Jammu: In a shocking daylight robbery, two armed thieves looted approximately 1.5 kg of gold from Anant Jewellers at Greater Kailash, Jammu.
The entire incident, captured on CCTV, shows two individuals dressed in suits and helmets entering the store, threatening the lone woman employee with sharp weapons, and making off with the stolen gold.

The footage shows that the robbers quickly entered the shop, whipped out their arms, and lay them on the counter to terrify the salesgirl. A terrorized lady was compelled to oblige when the thieves helped themselves to all the gold that they could and then ran from the scene of crime. Such brazen robberies have the entire local society shocked and send shivers.
Police officers were quick to respond to the scene after the incident was reported. Police said they were investigating while analyzing the CCTV footage for leads. The police authorities are also advising residents and business owners to be vigilant and report any odd activities.
Local residents have condemned the heist, stating that it is a very serious question for security in the area because this was such a major heist in broad daylight. Hitherto, petty thefts were reported in Greater Kailash, but this large-scale robbery has escalated the concerns.
Police are trying to identify the perpetrators and are likely to take stringent action. The business community demanded stronger security and quicker police intervention to ward off such incidents in the future.
