JAMMU, 1 June:Commercial LPG prices were increased across India on 1 June 2026, placing additional financial pressure on hotels, restaurants, caterers, and small businesses dependent on cooking fuel.
In Delhi, the price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder has been raised by 42 rupees, taking the new rate to 3113.50 rupees. In Kolkata, the increase is 53.50 rupees, with the new price reaching 3255.50 rupees per cylinder.
In other major cities, rates have also gone up. In Mumbai, the price now stands at 3024.50 rupees, while in Chennai it is 3232 rupees. Hyderabad has recorded a price of 3294 rupees, and in Patna the cylinder now costs 3322 rupees.
The price of 5 kg Free Trade LPG cylinders has also been increased by 11 rupees, taking the Delhi rate to 821.50 rupees. Domestic LPG cylinder prices remain unchanged across all major cities.
Officials and industry reports indicate that the latest revision is linked to global energy market pressures and supply concerns, particularly disruptions in international fuel supply chains. These factors have impacted import costs, which are reflected in domestic commercial pricing.
The increase is expected to raise operating costs for the hospitality and food service sectors, which are already dealing with rising fuel and transportation expenses. Businesses may now face the challenge of either absorbing higher costs or passing them on to consumers.
