New Delhi: Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Upendra Dwivedi was presented with a diverse collection of publications exploring military excellence, national security, leadership and emerging challenges shaping the future security environment.
The curated set of books reflected a wide spectrum of contemporary strategic thinking and institutional experiences relevant to India’s evolving defence landscape.
Among the titles presented was The Sports Legends of Defence Services & CAPF (Vol I & II) authored by Vaneeta Vaid, documenting the journeys and achievements of 80 sportspersons from the Armed Forces and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), highlighting dedication, resilience and excellence in service to the nation.
Also featured was Information Warfare: Battleground of the Digital Age by Rahul Pandit, which examines the changing character of conflict in the digital era, focusing on misinformation, cyber threats and psychological operations.
Another key title, India’s Water Security – Threats, Strategies and Solutions by Major General Akash Kaushik, explores the strategic dimensions of water security and outlines measures for sustainable resource management.
The collection also included Echoes From Academy Lines authored by Lieutenant Colonel Herald Ford Mochari, capturing the values of camaraderie, leadership and resilience shaped through experiences at the National Defence Academy.
Completing the set was Defence Reimagined: 33 Domains to Revolutionise National Security by Shivam Arya, which discusses emerging technologies, strategic transformation and pathways toward a future-ready national security framework.
The presentation underscored the growing emphasis on intellectual engagement and strategic discourse within India’s defence ecosystem.
