Jammu, AUG 13: Jammu & Kashmir BJP President Sat Sharma, accompanied by General Secretary (Organization) Ashok Koul, chaired a crucial organizational meeting at the party headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, to review preparations for the forthcoming ‘Sewa Pakhwada’.
J&K BJP Vice-Presidents Priya Sethi, Rajiv Charak, and Rashpaul Verma, General Secretaries Sanjita Dogra, Baldev Singh Billawaria, and Gopal Mahajan, Secretaries Reema Padha and Arun Sharma, DDC Member and SC Morcha President Dharminder Kumar, OBC Morcha President Brahamjyot, BJYM President Arun Prabhat, Mahila Morcha President Neha Mahajan, and others senior leaders of the party participated in the meeting.
Addressing the meeting, Sat Sharma shared that the ‘Sewa Pakhwada’ will commence on 17th September, marking the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and will conclude on 2nd October, the birth anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri. The party will observe the fortnight through a variety of welfare initiatives.
Sat Sharma said, “Sewa Pakhwada is not just an event, it is a movement to serve society selflessly. From healthcare to environmental protection, every activity will be aimed at making a tangible difference in people’s lives. I urge every party worker to treat this as a mission and reach out to every corner of Jammu & Kashmir with the message of service and nation-building.”
Ashok Koul emphasized the importance of grassroots participation, stating, “Our strength lies in our activists. Every ward, panchayat, and district should actively take part in these activities. Through blood donation, cleanliness drives, and awareness programmes, we will showcase the BJP’s commitment towards a healthier, cleaner, and stronger nation.”
Sharing further details, Ashok Koul said that the key activities will include large-scale blood donation camps, especially spearheaded by BJYM activists; cleanliness drives under the Swachhta Abhiyaan in hospitals, parks, water bodies, and public places, plantation drives under the campaign Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam, and medical camps across the Union Territory. Public meetings, exhibitions, and outreach programmes will also be organized to raise awareness about health, environmental protection, Khadi promotion, sports, anti-drug campaigns, and the Prime Minister’s transformative initiatives, he said.
