JULY 14: Amid the tight security, a fresh batch of over 6,100 pilgrims left Bhagwati Nagar Base Camp in Jammu on Monday holy pilgrimage of Shri Amarnath Ji in South Kashmir Himalayas.
On Sunday, LG Manoj Sinha has said more than two lakh pilgrims have paid obeisance at the Amarnath Shrine since the start of the 38-day annual yatra.
The yatra is underway from twin routes Nunwan base camp in Pahalgam of Anantnag district and Baltal in Ganderbal district on July 3.
Escorted by CRPF and police personnel, the 13th batch of 6,143 pilgrims, including 4,691 men, 1,248 women and 17 children, in 235 vehicles left Jammu in wee hours of Monday.
Every devotees was brimmed with religious fervour and gaiety and amid the chants and hymns existed the spiritual serenity.
Pertinent to mention that the holy pilgrimage of Amarnath will culminate on August 9, 2025.
