Jammu: Arun Gupta has been re-elected as President of the Jammu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) for the 2025–27 term, following the bi-ennial elections held on Sunday, June 8, 2025, at Chamber House.
The elections saw an impressive turnout with over 92% of the 2,975 registered voters casting their votes.
The polling process was conducted under the supervision of the election committee headed by Shiv Partap Gupta.
In the high-stakes contest for the post of President, Arun Gupta secured 1,461 votes, defeating former president Rakesh Gupta, who polled 1,290 votes. Arun Gupta was officially declared elected for another term.
For the post of Senior Vice President, Anil Gupta emerged victorious with 1,603 votes, ahead of Deepak Aggarwal who received 1,010 votes. Rajeev Gupta (Kaka) won the post of Junior Vice President with a commanding 1,812 votes against Sunil Gupta (Kodha), who got 916 votes.
Manish Gupta secured the position of Secretary General by polling 1,487 votes, defeating Rahul Mahajan who received 1,226 votes.
In a closely watched contest for Secretary, Rajesh Gupta (Rinku) was elected with 1,496 votes, beating Ashu Gupta who secured 1,144 votes.
For the post of Treasurer, a three-cornered contest saw Rajesh Gupta (Raju) winning with 1,295 votes. Manik Gupta polled 739 votes, while Rajeev Langer secured 602 votes.
The elections were conducted in a fair and transparent manner, with the results reflecting the confidence of the Jammu business community in the new leadership.
With the elected team now in place, expectations are high for effective representation and dynamic leadership to strengthen the voice of the region’s trade and industry sectors.
