Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has suspended Sanjay Singh, a Patwari formerly posted at Patwar Halqa Lalli (now PH Lander) in Udhampur district, over alleged gross irregularities in the revenue records.
According to *Order No. 256-FC(Rev) of 2025*, issued by the Office of the Financial Commissioner (Revenue), J&K, the suspension is in accordance with Rule 31 of the J&K Civil Services (Classification, Control & Appeal) Rules, 1956. The order, dated February 21, 2025, states that pending an inquiry into his conduct, Sanjay Singh will remain attached to the office of the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Dudu, District Udhampur, during the suspension period.
The suspension order was issued by Dr. Tahir Firdous, JKAS, Additional Commissioner (Central), on behalf of the Financial Commissioner (Revenue), J&K.
Further investigations into the alleged irregularities are underway.
