Srinagar, Sept 25: National Conference MLA Altaf Kalloo, on Friday raised concerns in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly over a video involving him that was circulated on social media.
Kalloo told the House that the video, shared a day earlier, was accompanied by a claim suggesting that he was offering gutka to another MLA. He rejected the description, stating that the substance shown in the video was actually chewing gum.
The MLA alleged that the content and its accompanying description presented the incident in a misleading manner and amounted to disrespect towards elected representatives.
He urged Assembly Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather to consider action against, or restrictions on, media persons whom he accused of such coverage.
