Srinagar: Director General of Police (DGP) Jammu and Kashmir Nalin Prabhat conducted an operational review of Temporary Operating Bases (TOBs) established along the northern face of the Pir Panjal range, officials said on Wednesday.
The DGP was accompanied by Inspector General of Police, Kashmir Zone, V K Birdi, along with senior police officers including Rajiv Pandey, Hariprasad K K, SSP Budgam and other members of the police team.
During the visit, the senior officers reviewed the operational preparedness, deployment arrangements and security measures at the strategically located TOBs.
The assessment focused on strengthening field-level coordination, ensuring operational readiness and improving security mechanisms in the challenging terrain.
Prabhat also interacted with officers and personnel deployed at the bases and took stock of the difficulties faced by them while operating in the mountainous region.
He reviewed measures aimed at maintaining sustained vigilance and ensuring effective security operations in the area.
The visit comes as security agencies continue to strengthen their presence and operational capabilities in vulnerable and strategically important areas of Jammu and Kashmir.
The review also underlined the importance of close coordination between field formations and senior command in responding effectively to security challenges in difficult terrain.
