New Delhi, July 27: Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh on Monday introduced the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Amendment Bill, 2026 in the Lok Sabha, seeking to strengthen the legal framework against paper leaks and unfair practices in public examinations.
The Bill proposes amendments to the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024 and aims to tighten measures against examination fraud, organised paper leak rackets and other malpractices.
The proposed legislation comes amid growing concern over the integrity of competitive and recruitment examinations across the country. It is intended to strengthen existing safeguards, enhance transparency and accountability, and provide stricter legal provisions to deal with paper leaks and related offences.
