According to a Government Order issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), sanction has been accorded for setting up the committee to ensure smooth planning and execution of the inaugural edition of the film festival.

The committee will be chaired by the Administrative Secretary, Information Department. Members include the Director, J&K Tourism Development Corporation; Transport Commissioner, J&K; Director Motor Garages; Director Information; Directors of Tourism for Jammu and Kashmir; Directors of Floriculture, Parks and Gardens for Jammu and Kashmir; Director Hospitality and Protocol; and Secretary, J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages.

Director Information, J&K, has been designated as the Member Secretary of the committee.

The government order authorises the Chairperson to co-opt additional members or officers whenever required for effective functioning of the committee.

As per the terms of reference, the committee will coordinate with the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) and other stakeholders for planning and successful conduct of the first International Film Festival of Jammu & Kashmir.

The panel has also been tasked with overseeing arrangements related to hospitality, accommodation, transport, protocol, security and other logistical requirements for delegates, participants and guests.
