Baramulla, May 12:Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday spearheaded a large-scale “Nasha Mukt” campaign in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, drawing participation from thousands of people in an effort to spread awareness against drug abuse.
The anti-drug rally saw the presence of students, government employees, members of civil society and people from various walks of life, all joining together to pledge support for a drug-free Jammu and Kashmir.
Carrying banners and placards, participants raised slogans highlighting the dangers of substance abuse and stressed the need for united social action to curb the growing menace.
Speaking on the occasion, the Lieutenant Governor underlined the importance of community involvement, awareness programmes and coordinated efforts in preventing drug addiction among youth. He called upon society to collectively safeguard younger generations from the increasing threat posed by narcotics.
