NOV 5: A soldier sustained injuries, on Wednesday, during an ongoing gunfight between security forces and terrorists in Kalaban forest area of Naidgam, under Chhatru Sub-Division in Kishtwar district.
As per the reports, one soldier was injured during ongoing operation and was evacuate to nearby hospital for treatment.
Earlier, White Knigh Corps posted on X, “WhiteKnighCorps | Contact with Terrorists | Op Chhatru In an intelligence based operation, in concert with J&K Police, in early morning hours today, alert troops of WhiteKnighCorps have established contact with terrorists in general area of Chhatru. Fire exchanged with terrorists. Operation is in progress.”
An encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists at Chhatru in Kishtwar after which the security forces cordoned area and search operation was launched following the inputs about the presence of terrorists in the area.
A team of security forces and J&K Police established contact with the hiding terrorists in the forest belt of Chhatru.
While the exchange of fire began early this morning and the gunfight is underway.
