OCT 17: Director General (DG) of Border Security Force (BSF), Daljit Singh Chawdhary, on Friday hailed the synergy between Police and other security forces during “Operation Sindoor”.
At the sidelines of Passing Out Parade of the 77th (Regular Recruits) batch of the Indian Police Service (IPS) probationers at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA) in Hyderabad, Chawdhary said the Police worked side by side with the Armed Forces.
DG added that the security of the nation is not one person endeavour, however, is collective effort.
“At that time, IPS Officers support the state with trust of people ensuring that the democracy survives amid hard times,” Chawdhary said and added that IPS officers are committed to from foiling the crime bids to combating terrorism and from tackling narcotics and smuggling to making environment conducive.
“The challenges are not simple as you are joining the service at a time when transformative change is underway in India. Terrorism, Left-Wing Extremism (LWE) and violent separatism stand as threaten,” DG To IPS.
As guardians of democracy, you must be t the forefront with the indomitable valour, spirit and treat both the weak and the powerful without discrimination.
DG BSF made a strong pitch for the future of Policing as smart, strict, vigilant, sensitive, mobile, and lead by example.
“You are equipped with real-time and cutting-edge technology, but remember technology alone will not win the trust which is earned through compassion,” DG BSF to IPS
“Keep noted that Police Station is foremost point of contact for the citizen and its operationalism will reflect your leadership more than anything else,” DG BSF said.
