JULY 2: Under the overall guidance and supervision of Commissioner Secretary Cooperative Department, Babila Rakwal, JKAS, a divisional-level program under the IYC was organised in Jammu under the leadership of Additional Registrar Cooperative Societies Jammu, Sh. Bal Krishan, JKAS today.
It witnessed gracious presence of Joint Registrar (Audit) Priyanka Bhat, Joint Registrar (Banking and Finance), Rakesh Dubey and Joint Registrar (Special) Preeti Sharma and DR’s and AR’s from Jammu Division.
“Mahila Sahkar Sangam” focussing on women-led and women-owned initiatives saw inclusive participation of enthusiastic society members from across Mendhar to Billawar depicting the vast outreach of the program and the department.
Multiple stalls ranging from spices to bakery goodies to the indigenous kalari were put up with sales of one stall of paneer crossing complete sellout of 20 kg product. Inspirational success stories of speakers from Samba to Balakote filled the entire atmosphere with electrifying energy.
The department validated and acknowledged the efforts of all the diligent sahkar workers and felicitated them with mementos and participation certificates to the deserving individuals. Registration certificates were also distributed to the newly registered societies and cooperatives.
The event turned out to be a unique platform for all stakeholders for exchange of difficulties, ideas, solutions and most of all hope…for a vastly more vibrant and far more optimistic future for Sahkarita.
