Jammu: Two persons today killed while thirteen others received injuries in twin road mishaps that took place in district Jammu on Thursday.
Reports said that two motorcyclists were killed after being hit by some unknown vehicle here at Jewan Nagar,Satwari.
The duo was riding a motorcycle bearing registration numbers JK02CH/5136 (Bajaj Platina), when hit by an unknown vehicle.
The deceased have been identified as Rohit Kumar (17) son of Subash Chander and Mahinder Pal (30) son of Tarsem Lal R/o Alwal Chak, Miran Sahib. Their bodies were later taken to the mortuary room of the GMC hospital for postmortem.
Meanwhile, thirteen persons received injuries in a separate accident that took place at Ban Toll Plaza, on National Highway, at Nagrota area. Police said a mini bus collided with an army truck at Ban Toll Plaza resulting in injuries to thirteen persons sitting in the bus. They were rushed to the GMC hospital Jammu for treatment. They have been identified as Tilak (35) son of Gharu Ram of Anand Nagar, Priya (27) wife of Anil Kumar of Anand Nagar, Ayush (9.5) son of Dev Raj of Bhalwal, Tina (10) daughter of Bhajan of Gajansoo, Marh, Pari (6.5) daughter of Dev Raj of Bhalwal, Rani Devi (31) wife of Dev Raj of Bhalwal, Bihari (36) of Bhalwal, Anita Kumari (15) daughter of Jai Kishan of Kot Bhalwal, Chetan Kumar (13) son of Kai Kishan of Kot Bhalwal, Pooja (27) wife of Tilak Raj of Anand Nagar, Sunita (30) wife of Mohan Lal of Kot Bhalwal, Payal (19) daughter of Bhagwan Dass of kheri Akhnoor and Sushma (25) wife of Ajit Kumar of Meira Mandra.
