257 candidates appointed to KAS, 2 make it to KPS

SRINAGAR: The State Government on Friday accorded sanction to the appointment of 263 candidates to J&K Administrative Services, J&K Police (Gazetted) and J&K Accounts (Gazetted) Service under direct recruitment through the combined competitive examinations 2016.
Among these, 257 are appointed to the Joiner Scale of J&K Administration Services, 02 in J&K Police (Gazetted) Services and 04 in J&K Accounts (Gazetted) Service.
According to an order issued by General Administrative Department the candidates shell report to Director General Institute of Management, Public Administration and Rural Development (IMPA) for foundation course within 21 days.
The appointees would be on probation for a period of two years during which they would undergo such training and pass the departmental examination, following which their probation would be confirmed.
