2 loot Rs 4.80 Lakh from fuel bunk in Rajouri

JAMMU: Two motorcycle borne youth on Monday evening looted nearly five lakhs from an employee of a petrol pump in Nowshera tehsil of Rajouri district after throwing chilli powder on his face.
Reports stated that one Brijesh Kumar working on Friends Petrol Station Rajal was asked by pump owner to deposit daily fuel sale in bank after which he left for Nowshera bank on his two wheeler along with Rs 4.80 lakhs.
"While the employee was on way to Nowshera from Rajal from link road, two motorcycle borne youth blocked his way and threw chilli powder in his eyes and then looted the entire cash and fled from the spot," Police sources told.
The petrol pump employee was later shifted for medical aid while police teams from Nowshera rushed to the spot after which a major manhunt was launched to nab the culprits.
An official told that the accused are still at large but efforts were on to arrest them.
