9.35 pc polling in the first two hours in Bihar

Patna, Apr 23: At least 9.35 per cent voters exercised their franchise till 9 A.M. in five constituencies going to the poll in the third phase of Lok Sabha election today.

Sources at the Election Office said that Jhanjharpur constituency recorded highest 11.50 per cent voting followed by 10 per cent in Araria, 8.75 per cent in Madhepura, 8.30 per cent in Supaul and 8 per cent in Khagaria constituency. Overall 9.35 per cent of voters cast their votes in the first two hours of voting.

Sources said that reports of EVMs developing snags were received from few booths in Araria constituency but polling resumed after problems were sorted out. No major incident of violence had been reported so far.
