Another polling station changed in Jalandhar

Jalandhar, Apr 21 : The district administration on Sunday changed the building of one more polling station for the ensuing Lok Sabha polls to facilitate voters.

The changed building of the polling station falls in Jalandhar Central Assembly Constituency.
District-Election Officer Varinder Kumar Sharma said that in Jalandhar Central Constituency, the polling station in Rajmati Jain Girls High School, Ali Mohalla has been shifted to Sai Dass A S Senior Secondary School, Primary Branch, Ali Mohalla.

He said that there are 1,863 polling booths across the district and a total number of voters in the district are 15.74 lakh. Mr Sharma said that of this, 8.22 lakh voters are male, 7.52 lakh voters are female and 23 are third gender voters.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the district administration is committed to ensuring that the polling was held in a free, fair and transparent manner on May 19 in the district.
