Mahagatbandhan a bogey which cannot defeat BJP: Shahnawaz Hussain

Panaji, Jan 19 (UNI) Former Union Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National Spokesperson Syed Shahnawaz Hussain on Saturday claimed that issue of Mahagathbandhan is a bogey which cannot defeat Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Addressing a press conference at a hotel in the city, he said,' The Mahagathbandhan is a fraud and cannot defeat Bharatiya Janata Party because on the same platform there are many who dream of becoming prime minister. But the dream is going to remain unfulfilled. They oppose each other and contest elections against each other are sitting together on the dais because they know that they cannot defeat (Prime Minister) Narendra Modi.'

'There is nothing like Mahagatbandahan. It is just a platform for a betrayal of people and people will respond to this. Today, there are many alliances are against Narendra Modi, but the people's coalition is with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The people of the country have decided that PM Narendra Modi will be re-elected," the BJP leader said.

Mr Hussain alleged that the leaders addressing Mahagatbandhan rally in Kolkata on Saturday had in the past been supportive of naxal and anti-national forces.

"In (West Bengal Chief Minister) Mamta Banderjee's rally today, some people have supported naxals, some people uttered such words, in support of those who have been caught for sedition. It is not correct," he claimed.
