New Delhi, Dec 18 (UNI) BJP is determined to give a stiff challenge to DMK-Congress alliance in Tamil Nadu, senior party leader Ram Madhav said here on Tuesday and maintained that "it will not be easy cakewalk" for M K Stalin-Rahul Gandhi duo to garner much dividends in the southern state.

"Look, I don't want to talk about who are all (probable partners) we are talking to at this juncture.....I can only say that it won't be any easy cakewalk for DMK-Congress alliance," Mr Madhav told a private television.

BJP sources indicated that the saffron outfit is keen to forge an alliance with the AIADMK and the proposed party to be floated by cinestar Rajnikanth.

"We will be able to forge a strong alliance here," said Mr Madhav declining to divulge details.

The BJP leader also took potshots at DMK chief M K Stalin for mooting the name of Congress president Rahul Gandhi as a prime ministerial face for the opposition camp and said, "There is no vacancy for the prime minister's post next year".

Mr Stalin's suggestion, however, could not make much headway as parties like the CPI-M and Trinamool Congress said that any discussion on 'leadership' in the opposition camp can only start after the general elections.
