Six killed in UP road mishap

Jaunpur, Dec 12 (UNI) Six people, including three women, were killed while five others sustained injuries after a truck collided with a tempo in Ketakat Kotwali area of the district on Wednesday.
Superintendent of Police (SP) D P Singh said here that the accident occurred near Kursana village at 1400 hrs, when truck's tyre busted and the driver lost its control leading to the accident.
Five people travelling on the temple died on the spot, while one succumbed to his injuries later.
The deceased were identified as Puran Sonkar (22), Indu Devi (40), Satyendra Pal (34) and Anita Devi (32), while two others are yet to be identified.
Of the five injured, three were rushed to hospital in Varanasi.
