Avalanche warning issued in Kmr, Ladakh

SRINAGAR: The divisional administration has issued a avalanche warning during the next 24 hours in the Kashmir valley and Ladakh region, where Meteorological department has issued a forecast for widespread rain and snow during the next 48 hours.

The warning has been issued in avalanche prone areas of Bandipora, Baramulla, Kupwara in north Kashmir Anantnag, Kulgam in south and Budgam, Ganderbal in central valley.

Warning has also been issued for Leh and Kargil districts of Ladakh region.

The Deputy Commissioners of the concerned districts have been asked to advise people not to venture out in avalanche prone areas during the period.
