Dual faced Pak Provoking India with ceasefire at LoC, requests for flag meeting at IB

Jammu: Adopting bitter and sweet policy, the Pakistan at one hand is provoking Indian army with five sniping incident in a row at Line of Control (LoC) martyring three soldiers, a porter and injuring a BSF jawan in last four days, today has requested and arranged a Sector Commander Level Flag Meeting at International Border to maintain peace and tranquility on borders.

Continuing with its double standards, Pakistan today once again attack an Indian army jawan with the coward act of sniping and killed him on the spot, while another soldier suffered injuries. It was the third consecutive sniping attack by Pakistan at LoC in which India have lost third army soldier in last three days.

The PRO Defence, Jammu, Lt Col Devender Anand informed that at about 5:15 pm, Pak Army resorted to an unprovoked ceasefire violation in Krishna Ghati Sector in Mendhar area of Poonch district on the line of control (LoC) resulting in one soldier getting martyred and another critically injured.

“In the incident, Lance Naik Antony Sebastian KM was critically injured and succumbed to gunshot wound injuries to fire from across the border. Havildar Mari Muthu D also sustained gunshot wounds and was critically injured in the firing. Immediate resuscitation and medical aid was provided to the soldier and has been evacuated to Military Hospital, Poonch,” said the PRO.

“Lance Naik Antony Sebastian KM (34 years) belonged to Village-Manakunnam, Post-Udaymperoor, Tehsil- Kannayanur, District-Ernakullam, Kerala and is survived by his wife, Anna Dayana Joseph,” said the PRO and added that Lance Naik Antony Sebastian KM was a brave and sincere soldier. The nation will always remain indebted to him for the supreme sacrifice and devotion to duty.

The Defence PRO also said that Indian Army has retaliated strongly and effectively on Pakistan Army posts.

Meanwhile, BSF PRO Jammu, Manoj Yadav informed that on arrangements of Pakistan Rangers, today from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon, a Sector Commander level Meeting was held between Border Security Force and Pakistan Rangers on International Border in Suchetgarh area.

The BSF delegation comprising 18 officers was led by PS Dhiman, DIG BSF Jammu Sector and Brig Amjad Mehmud, Sector Commander Chenab Rangers, Sialkote Punjab, Pakistan led the Pakistan delegation comprising of 14 officers including 05 Wing Commanders. It was the first Sector Commander level meeting between two border guarding forces after tension prevailed on Jammu International Border, in September 18.

“During meeting, Commanders of both the border guarding forces, inter alia, discussed various issues including firing on International Border, presence of suspects in border areas and other routine issues related to border management,” the BSF spokesperson said.

It was decided to re-energize instant communication between field commanders, whenever required, to resolve the petty matters. Meeting was held in a cordial, positive and constructive atmosphere and both sides agreed for expeditious implementation of the decisions taken in the earlier meeting and committed to each other to maintain peace and tranquility at International Border.

Here it needs to mention that as the winters has set in the Pak is hell bent to facilitate the infiltration of terrorists by resorting frequent ceasefire violations.
