Bengaluru, Oct 29: The All Unions and Associations of BSNL (AUAB) has given a call to its members to launch countrywide agitation for fulfillment of their various long pending demands.

Addressing a press conference here on Monday, BSNLEU, Circle Secretary C K Gundanna alleged that Union Minister of State for Communications Manoj Sinhaji has failed to keep up his assurances given during a meeting held with AUAB on Feb 24-2018.

He said that the Minister had assured to consider our demands including implementation of Third Pay revision with effect from January One-2017, allotment of 4G Spectrum to BSNL, Payment of Pension contribution on the actual basic pay among other demands, but so far no step was taken to keep up his promise and hence the employees were left with no option but to launch countrywide agitation.

"By delaying the implementation of the assurances given by the Hon’ble Minister of State for Communications, the DoT is denying justice to the 1.85 lakh Executives and Non-Executives of BSNL and about 3.5 lakh employees retired from BSNL," he added

He said that as per the programme chalked out, the embers will stage dharna at all levels tomorrow (Oct 30), hold rallies at Circle and District level on November 14 and chalkout future course of agitation of the demands were not fulfilled by November 30.
BSNLEU Circle Secretaries from more than 8 Circles were present at the press conference.
