Two killed, as many injured in road mishap

Supaul, Oct 17: Two youths were killed and as many injured this morning in a head on collision between their motorcycle and a tank lorry on Supaul-Pipra road under Pipra police station area in this district.

Police said here that Nitish Kumar (22) and Shubham Kumar (24) were killed on the spot and as many others injured when their bike was hit by the speeding tank lorry near a bridge on Tilabe river.

Sources said the youths were returning to their native Deenapatti village after visiting Durga Puja fair at Hardi village when the mishap took place.

Police said the injured had been admitted to a nearby government hospital.

Sources said the driver and cleaner of the lorry made good their escape from the spot after abandoning their vehicle.

The bodies have been sent to Supaul Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
